For the past semester of homeschool Aliza has been taking music lessons for two hours once/week with our very own Miss Amanda (who happens to be a very talented professional music teacher!). Aliza memorized Ephesians 5:19, “I will sing and make music in my heart to the Lord.”

She taught us how to keep a beat to music with the “beat feet.”

Aliza selected instruments from her rhythm kit and showed us how to play them properly.

She also learned to identify lots of instruments and describe fundamental elements of music.

After explaining the mechanics behind the song “Hot-Crossed Buns” and a rousing performance, Aliza and her teacher received a round of applause. A job very well done! :)

We love Miss Amanda!

Gloria, thank you so much for sharing what your girls do. This is precious. I just wanted to give Aliza a BIG HUG. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy and happy new birth. Love you all!

Amanda, didn’t we live in Crumley at the same time?!

Looks like so much fun! Wish we were there :)

This might be my favorite post ever… for obvious reason. Way to go, Miss Amanda! I love Aliza’s “whole note” face. :)
